1. Treatment Programs
Our mandate is to ensure that older adults who need help have access to it. Our approach is to first help clients understand the impact addictions can have on their lives, and those of their loved ones. Next, we offer innovative treatment programs specially tailored to each client.
OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
Outreach
When older adults can’t come to us, we go to them. Our trained staff of professionals and volunteers work with clients to provide assistance in crisis management, problem solving, leisure planning, and socializing skills.
Harm-Reduction
COPA employs an innovative harm-reduction treatment program. This program is focussed on working to reduce the effects of addictions in order to foster independence and enable clients to become active members of their community.
Referrals & Case Management
COPA refers clients to outside agencies for services not offered by our staff. These can range from specialized medical treatment to legal advice.
Support Groups
COPA organizes support, therapy, and social groups as part of the process of rebuilding the lives of our clients.

COPA PROVIDES:
Assistance for Family, Partners, and Friends
Personal relationships are important, especially when coping with addiction. COPA helps concerned family and friends understand the issues and how best to handle them.
Offsite Consultations
COPA can arrange offsite education and training for professionals and organizations that provide addictions or gerontological treatment.
Telephone Consultations
COPA shares its expertise regarding direct client referrals, program information, and strategies for helping older adults with addictions.
