  • There are approximately 5,703,000 people aged 60 and over in Canada.
     
  • Older adults currently represent over 18% of Canada's 31.6 million population.
     
  • By 2021, there will be almost 9.2 million people aged 60 and over in Canada, by which time they will represent over one quarter (26%) of the entire population.
